KUCHING: The Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) has organised the Earth Hour campaign, demonstrating a robust commitment to combating climate change.

DBKU council member Datuk Grunsin Ayom said the campaign aimed to inspire residents to turn off their lights for an hour on Saturday from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

“This event synchronises with global celebrations, urging communities worldwide, including our residents, to participate in Earth Hour,” he told reporters during the campaign at Pangkalan Sapi here.

The Earth Hour campaign is organised annually by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
