LINGGA: The construction of the Lingga Sports Complex has become a focal point in efforts to foster a spirit of sportsmanship and promote a healthy lifestyle among residents in the area.

Lingga assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor said that the sports complex is expected to create significant opportunities for the development of sports here.

“Once completed, the Lingga Sports Complex will serve as a hub for hosting sports activities, not only at the district level but also at the state level.

“It will also become a proud landmark for this district,” she said during a site visit to the project yesterday.

She added that the sports complex project, estimated to cost RM20 million, was approved under the allocation of the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA).

Also present during the visit were Lingga District Officer Frank Lani as well as other departmental representatives.
