KUCHING: The Little Miss Plaza Merdeka competition ended on a high note, with two young winners taking the main crowns. Eight-year-old Liezel Joso won Category A, while 11-year-old Aulia Izzatunnisa took the title in Category B. Both stood out throughout the contest for their confidence, poise and overall performance.
Several subsidiary awards were also presented. Titles including Miss Popular Social Media, Best Catwalk, Best Talent, Darling of the Crowd and Miss Photogenic were up for grabs.
The winners received a tiara, sash, hampers and a plaque, recognising their achievements at Little Miss Plaza Merdeka.
In Category A, the first runner-up was Anggun Sofea, followed by second runner-up Cinta Izzara. In Category B, Ell Qaseh was named first runner-up, with Mea Ramadhanee taking second runner-up.
For Category A subsidiary titles, Best Dressed went to Liezel Joso; Miss Popular (Social Media) to Nia Ramadhani; Best Make-up and Hairdo to Anggun Sofea; Best Talent Award to Tiffany Chong; and Darling of the Crowd to Nia Ramadhani.
For Category B subsidiary titles, Best Dressed went to Mea Ramadhanee; Miss Popular (Social Media) to Nur Dania Chan; Best Catwalk to Aulia Izzatunnisa; Best Talent to Ell Qaseh; and Darling of the Crowd to Nur Damia Chan.
Plaza Merdeka was filled with a kaleidoscope of colours, joy and youthful confidence as the much-anticipated Little Miss Plaza Merdeka pageant made its debut. Organised for the first time by AI Dot Com Management in collaboration with Plaza Merdeka, the event attracted an enthusiastic turnout of children and families from across Kuching and Serian.
The atmosphere was electric, with parents and onlookers cheering on their young stars as they stepped on stage in dazzling attire. Female participants aged 5 to 15, from schools around Kuching and Serian, showcased not only beauty and charm, but also confidence, creativity and individual talents.
From elegant traditional garments to chic contemporary outfits, the children’s clothing and accessories lit up the venue with spirited flair. Each segment brought fresh excitement, as contestants competed for titles such as Miss Popular Social Media, Best Catwalk, Best Talent, Darling of the Crowd and Miss Photogenic.
Organisers from AI Dot Com Management thanked the public for the strong support and said they plan to make Little Miss Plaza Merdeka an annual highlight on the city’s calendar.
