KUCHING: Local entrepreneurs are seizing the opportunity to promote their products at the Kuching Car Boot Sales (KCBS) Rindok Raya 2025 at Hikmah Exchange Event Centre here.

Among the many vendors participating are 21-year-old Julyiana Afyira and Mohamad Nizam, 44.

They are making their mark in the local clothing industry with a focus on quality, affordability and customer satisfaction.

While Julyiana focuses on modest and modern fashion, Nizam has been redefining men’s traditional attire since 2019.

“We operate at Booth F10 at KCBS Rindok Raya 2025, where we offer a wide range of modern baju kurung, abayas, men’s kurtas and women’s accessories,” said Julyiana.

Despite her young age, she has already built a strong presence in the local business fraternity, participating in multiple local business events that are similar to Rindok Raya 2025.

She said her business has been consistently receiving positive feedback from customers who appreciate their premium materials at affordable prices.

“Our sales have been strong, and we see a steady increase in demand,” she said.

“We focus not only on quality but also on friendly and fast service, making the shopping experience enjoyable for everyone,” added Julyiana.

For Rindok Raya 2025, her main goal is to increase brand awareness and reach more customers.

“I hope to be able to provide the experience of donning good quality hari raya outfits, particularly for those who may find it difficult to afford new ones,” she said.

Julyiana’s approach to business prioritises customer satisfaction, balancing premium materials with affordability, and a seamless shopping experience with their good service.

“I hope the event will serve as a platform to strengthen relationships with customers and bring in more people,” she added.

A full-time businessman since 2016, Nizam initially sold kurtas before expanding to baju Melayu and sampin.

“We want to ensure that men can purchase a complete outfit in one place.

“However, our sampin is sourced externally,” he said.

The brand stands out for its cutting and fit, as baju Melayu sizing can be tricky.

“Many men struggle with the fitting of baju Melayu. Some struggle with tightness in the chest, thighs or height adjustments.

“We try our best to update the cutting each year based on feedbacks from customers to ensure a smart and comfortable fit that can cater to a wide range of body types,” said Nizam.

Over the years, he has built a loyal customer base thanks to a commitment to quality and adaptability to changing trends that suit the customers.

“Running a business, we can’t rely on just one platform.

“We need to explore new markets, and KCBS is an exciting opportunity to reach more customers,” said Nizam.

“If events like this continue every year, I will fully support them because they help local brands like ours grow,” he added.

Both Julyiana and Nizam recognise KCBS Rindok Raya 2025 as a valuable opportunity for business expansion.
