SARATOK: Police arrested a 22-year-old local man for allegedly engaging in illegal ‘holo’ gambling at a palm oil plantation on Saturday (Feb 21).

Saratok police chief, DSP Mathew Manggie said a team of personnel conducting patrols under ‘Ops Limau’ along Jalan Awik spotted a group of individuals gathered in the plantation.
It was believed that gambling activities were taking place, prompting the team to raid the area.
Most of the individuals fled upon seeing the police.
“The incident occurred in an open area within the plantation. The team managed to arrest a local man and seized several items at the scene,” he said.
Among the items seized were a ‘holo’ dice roller, a piece of white cloth printed with a gambling-themed animated image, two dice, a plastic chair, a wooden table, and cash amounting to RM560.
The suspect and the seized items were taken to the Saratok police station for further action.
