Miri Police Chief, ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, said the arrest was made around 3:30 pm by the Sarawak Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID).

“The team intercepted the 20-year-old suspect at Miri Airport’s arrival hall and seized a box from him.

“Upon inspection, the box was found to contain suspected methamphetamine weighing 10.56 kg and a pod containing liquid believed to be MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) weighing approximately 986 grammes.

“The total value of the seized drugs is RM380,000,” he said at a press conference today.
