Lodge school students achieve remarkable results

KUCHING: Lodge National Secondary School has recorded strong results in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, achieving a School Average Grade (GPS) of 2.72.

The performance was led by two top students, Varyll Voon Woo Jie and Lo Fang Wenn, who each scored a perfect straight 9A+ across all subjects.

A further 25 students obtained straight As, underscoring consistent academic excellence across the cohort. Six students achieved 7As, while four others secured 6As.

The school also recorded high distinction rates in several key subjects, with English leading at 91.40 per cent.

Strong performances were also seen in Mathematics (86.02 per cent), Pendidikan Moral (62.03 per cent), Chemistry (57.14 per cent), General Science (56.52 per cent), Additional Mathematics (51.43 per cent), Chinese Language (50.00 per cent), Biology (47.14 per cent), Physics (45.71 per cent), History (43.01 per cent) and Malay Language (36.56 per cent).

Lodge Group of Schools director Su Hiong Ai attributed the results to sustained effort and collaboration among students, teachers and parents.

“These results are not a one-day wonder. They are the outcome of clear intention, sincere effort, and the intelligent execution of that effort by our students, supported by dedicated teachers and committed parents,” he said.

He added that the achievement reflects strong cooperation between the school, parents and the Lodge School Association Committee in nurturing students to reach their full potential.

The school expressed appreciation to its teachers, parents and stakeholders for their continued support, and encouraged the Class of 2025 to pursue excellence as they move on to the next stage of their academic and professional journeys.
