KUCHING: The Sarawak Yuzhang Clan Association (Loh Clan) held its Bingwu Year Spring Ancestral Worship Ceremony on Sunday, bringing together clan members to honour their ancestors and uphold longstanding cultural traditions.

Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Ir Lo Khere Chiang attended the ceremony, joining participants in paying tribute and emphasising the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

The spring ancestral worship ceremony, a key practice among the Chinese community, reflects respect for forefathers while fostering unity and solidarity within the clan.

During the event, Lo also presented a contribution of RM24,000 under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) to support the association’s organisational development and cultural activities.

The contribution highlights the continued efforts to preserve Chinese cultural heritage and recognises the role of community organisations in strengthening social cohesion.

It also reflects ongoing collaboration between government representatives and community groups in promoting multicultural development and societal progress.
