KUCHING: The long-term planning for treated water supply to Kanowit town will be from Sibu Water Board’s (SWB) water supply system under Kanowit – Phase II water supply project instead of upgrading the existing plant at Kanowit town.
Replying to Allan Siden Gramong (GPS- Machan) in the august House yesterday, Assistant Minister for Water Supply, Datuk Liwan Lagang disclosed the estimated cost for the Kanowit – Phase II water supply project is RM77 million.
On the scope of work for the project, he said, it included the construction of pumping main, upgrading of booster station , service reservoir and distribution main.
