SARIKEI: The tar-sealing of Jalan Sungai Bulat at Rumah Jugah, a 38-door Iban longhouse here, has brought joy to the residents and people living nearby.
The 200-metre road project was completed last Friday and took only a day.
Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii visited Rumah Jugah to see for himself the completed tar-sealed road.
The residents thanked the government and Huang for making their wishes come true.
With the tar-sealed road, the longhouse folk can now easily commute to Sarikei town, which is about 15 minutes away.
