SAMARAHAN: LPFC lived up to expectations by clinching the 2026 Samarahan Division Football Association (PBBS) President’s Cup with a commanding 6-0 victory over GEN 16 in the final at the Kota Samarahan Open Stadium on Saturday afternoon (July 18).
LPFC, by Rockefller Sulau, delivered a dominant display, storming to a four-goal lead in the opening half before adding two more after the break to complete an emphatic triumph.
The victory marked LPFC’s second title of the season, having recently been crowned champions of the 2026 Samarahan League.
For their achievement, LPFC lifted the championship trophy and received gold medals, while runners-up GEN 16 were presented with the runners-up trophy and medals.
Gedong Unity and Sambir Bistari, who bowed out in the semi-finals earlier in the day, shared third place and were each awarded trophies and medals.
The 2026 PBBS President’s Cup featured the top four teams from the 2026 Samarahan League and was contested in a knockout format, beginning with the semi-finals.
The prize presentation ceremony was officiated by Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Kota Samarahan Member of Parliament, Datuk Rubiah Wang.
Also present were PBBS’ President, Mohd Azri Johari, and members of the association’s executive committee.
The prize presentation ceremony for the 2026 Samarahan League was also held following the conclusion of the President’s Cup final.
