SERIAN: LPFC have signalled their title intentions with a commanding 6-0 win over SIMMA United in the Piala Ahli Parlimen Serian Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem 2026 football tournament at Kampung Pichin here last weekend.
Fielding a squad largely made up of former Kuching City FC players, LPFC were in control throughout as they cruised into the next round.
LPFC manager Mohamad Azlan Sebi said the emphatic win was a strong start but stressed the need for consistency.
“It was a good start for us with a comfortable win.
“The players carried out their roles very well”, he said when contacted recently.
He urged the team to maintain their focus moving forward.
“We need to stay focused and carry this momentum into the next matches,” he added.
Elsewhere, SABSAR edged GTDK 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw, while Landas defeated MDR FIFA Heng 3-2, also via penalties following a 2-2 draw.
LN United recorded a 3-1 win over Wa United FC.
First-round action continues this weekend with more matches lined up.
