Imposition of Section 47 of the State Land Code is to determine the exact alignment of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan however said the government had decided the affected landowners could submit for renewal of their land title anytime.
“In-depth studies are currently being implemented to finalise the LRT line and to identify the land really involved.
“As the project has been suspended, the state government decides to give due consideration to the application for for renewal of period of the land title in respect of Section 47 of the State Land Code of the LRT project,” Tengah said in his winding up speech yesterday.
