KUALA LUMPUR: The Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) has declared a total dividend payout of 5.25 per cent for the financial year 2024 (FY2024), marking its highest payout in seven years.
LTAT chief executive, Mohd Ashraf Mohd Radzi said this includes a 5 per cent base dividend and an additional 0.25 per cent bonus, benefiting 125,014 contributors from the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF).
“This year’s payout amounts to RM514.2 million, surpassing last year’s RM485.08 million.
“The announcement also marks the third consecutive year LTAT has maintained a five per cent dividend, reflecting its financial recovery and stability,” he said.
He added that LTAT’s financial indicators showed robust improvement, with total income rising to RM753 million, a 2.5 per cent increase from the previous year, while net profit surged by 23.7 per cent to RM588 million.
Combined reserves recorded a 160.6 per cent year-on-year increase, reaching RM1.01 billion.
He attributed this performance to Malaysia’s strong domestic economy and government policies under the MADANI Economy Framework, emphasising LTAT’s commitment to rebalancing its investment portfolio and reducing overconcentration risks.
In the meantime, LTAT chairman, General Tan Sri Datuk Sri Azizan Ariffin highlighted the organisation’s disciplined execution and long-term value creation, stating that LTAT remains dedicated to strengthening governance and transparency.
In addition to financial gains, Ashraf said LTAT has launched the ‘Santuni MADANI’ programme, adopting five military camps to enhance infrastructure and financial empowerment for service members.
“The organisation has also expanded its financial literacy initiatives, with nearly 25,000 MAF personnel participating in educational programmes on financial planning and retirement benefits.
“Building on the success of ‘Minggu Bersama Pencarum Jelajah Sarawak’, LTAT has extended its outreach efforts to southern Malaysia,” he added.
He then stated that LTAT plans to launch the ‘Larian Wira’ Marathon to foster community engagement and appreciation for the armed forces.
On another note, the 2024 dividend will be credited to contributors’ accounts on March 28.
