SIBU: A Toyota Land Cruiser was seized during ‘Ops Luxury’ after it was found to have an expired motor vehicle licence (LKM) and no valid insurance.
Sarawak RTD said the enforcement operation on Tuesday (Feb 24) saw a total of 294 vehicles of various types inspected through patrols and monitoring activities.
Among the offences detected were driving without a valid licence, failing to wear seat belts, using mobile phones while driving, as well as other technical violations involving vehicle conditions.
The department said it would not compromise with any road users found violating traffic laws and would continue to intensify enforcement activities.
Motorists were reminded to ensure their licences, insurance and vehicle documents are valid before using the road.
