KUCHING: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) Chief Commissioner, Datuk Seri Abdul Halim Aman, paid a courtesy call on Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, at the Astana Negeri Sarawak here today.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on efforts to strengthen integrity and good governance, as well as the importance of fostering trust and accountability in the public service.
They also discussed current national issues.
On the same note, Abdul Halim thanked Wan Junaidi for his advice, views and suggestions on carrying out the commission’s responsibilities in combating corruption in the country.
Wan Junaidi, meanwhile, expressed his appreciation for MACC’s role in strengthening awareness of integrity among the public.
The courtesy call also reflected the close cooperation between the institution of the Head of State and federal agencies in strengthening governance, integrity and the people’s well-being.
Also present were Wan Junaidi’s wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi; Abdul Halim’s wife, Datin Sri Safiah Md Tahir; Sarawak MACC’s Director, Datuk Hasbilah Mohamad Salleh, and his wife, Datin Nur Syakinah Daud.
