KUCHING: A total of RM5,200 worth of festive gift packs, essential household items, and cheque donations are being distributed to Dayak communities and charitable homes across Sarawak, as part of MagnumCares’ annual Gawai outreach.

Marking its 15th consecutive year, MagnumCares is once again bringing festive joy to communities across Sarawak.

As the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Magnum 4D, a programme dedicated to giving back to society and supporting community welfare, the initiative continues to share the spirit of Gawai Dayak ahead of the June 1 celebration.

This year, 454 families from eight Dayak settlements in Kuching, Miri, Bintulu, and Sibu will receive assistance, along with eight charitable homes across the regions.

“From all of us at Magnum, we wish all our Dayak friends a blessed Gawai,” said Magnum 4D executive vice president and group chief commercial officer Datuk Chan Chee Fai.

“It is always our aim to help make this Festival of Harvest and Thanksgiving a special occasion for the Dayak community.

“We hold firmly to the MagnumCares mantra of ‘For You, With You’, and believe that our support over the years has brought joy and comfort to the lives of our Dayak friends,” he said.
