BINTULU: The constituents in Jepak are urged to maintain their trust in the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government for continued development in the constituency.

Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat said this was in ensuring the ongoing progress was enjoyed by the local community.

He thus called on the community to continue to give their unwavering support to the party, especially for the future well-being of the local populace, particularly the youth.

“If GPS wins (in the Jepak by-election), development will be brought by our GPS representative… Even if the two opposing parties win, but they may not be capable of bringing development like GPS,” he said.

He said this during the ‘Sembang Santai Bersama Pemimpin Sembang Warung’ programme at Rumah Hendry Diman, Jalan Pesisir Jepak, here recently.

Ripin then said the late Datuk Talib Zulpilip’s winning legacy in Jepak constituency must also be defended.

“So remember, only the GPS government brings development in our area.

What are the needs of the community in the Jepak area, can be brought forward to our future representative that is Iskandar Turkee after he wins the upcoming Jepak by-election,” he said.
