HYDERABAD: Most of the 15 people killed in Saturday’s speedboat accident in Vietnam were from Tamil Nadu and were on a company incentive trip organised by Indian mobile phone company Lava.

The boat carrying 32 Indian tourists and four crew members overturned about 400 metres from Hon May Rut Ngoai island near Phu Quoc island.

Vietnamese authorities said the victims comprised 10 people from Tamil Nadu, three from Andhra Pradesh and two from Kerala.

Lava said the dead included 14 channel partners and one employee. – BERNAMA
