Malaysia Aviation Group, Boeing ink five-year deal to boost MRO capacity

SINGAPORE: MAB Engineering Services, the engineering arm of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), inked a five-year partnership with Boeing to expand maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities across Asia-Pacific at the Singapore Airshow 2026 here.

In a statement, MAG said the partnership allows MAB Engineering to serve as a regional partner for potential future MRO work with Boeing and provide airlines with cost-efficient, reliable and high-quality support, where demand for comprehensive MRO services continues to grow.

“This agreement helps strengthens the ability to meet growing regional demand for comprehensive MRO solutions while reinforcing operational reliability for airline customers.

“For MAB Engineering Services, it provides access to Boeing’s global fleet network, strengthens its influence as a trusted regional MRO provider, and solidifies its long-term positioning in the Asia-Pacific aviation ecosystem,” it said.

According to MAG, the collaboration positions MAB Engineering services at the forefront of delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient MRO solutions.

“By leveraging Boeing’s expertise and MAB Engineering’s proven track record, MAB Engineering aims to create long-term value for airlines, strengthen the regional aviation ecosystem, and reinforce Malaysia’s role as a centre of excellence in global aviation,” it added. – BERNAMA
