KUALA LUMPUR: “Miracles can happen in football” – and that belief is surging among supporters of Kuching City FC ahead of their Malaysia Cup final clash with giants Johor Darul Ta’zim tomorrow (Saturday, May 23).

Football has repeatedly shown that unexpected results are always possible, especially in high-stakes matches.

Sarawak Premier’s Political Secretary, Angellie Stephen Rajam has expressed hope that Kuching City FC can produce a miracle on the big stage.

“I am excited. Hopefully KCFC can create a miracle,” she told Sarawak Tribune when contacted today (May 22).

She added that hope remains strong for the Sarawak side heading into the final and joins the growing wave of fan excitement and emotional backing for the team.

“Kuching City! Let’s take down the Tigers! Agi Idup Agi Ngelaban (as long as I live, I shall fight)!” she said, echoing the popular Sarawak rallying cry of resilience and fighting spirit.

Her comments reflect rising anticipation across Sarawak as Kuching City prepare for one of the biggest matches in the club’s history against Malaysian giants, Johor Darul Ta’zim.

Despite the daunting challenge, belief remains strong among supporters, who insist that in football, anything can happen over 90 minutes.
