Malaysia LNG receives prestigious Pinnacle Award

KUCHING: Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd emerged as the top honouree at the inaugural Customer Centric Awards organised by Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd (BPHB), receiving the prestigious Pinnacle Award in recognition of its outstanding partnership, loyalty and excellence.

The awards, introduced as part of BPHB’s Customer Appreciation Night 2025 held at Pullman Hotel here on Tuesday night, mark a new tradition of acknowledging the vital role of its customer community in sustaining the port’s growth.

The Pinnacle Award was presented by Sarawak State Secretary and BPHB chairman, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, to Malaysia LNG Group of Companies’ managing director and Group chief executive officer, Mohamed Syazwan Abdullah @ Laga Jenggi.

Meanwhile, BPHB president and Group chief executive officer, Datuk Ruslan Abdul Ghani, presented the Value Builder Awards to IT Portlink Sdn Bhd, Tanarak Sdn Bhd and TST System Engineering Sdn Bhd.

The Excellence Awards were conferred on several government agencies and departments, including the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Department of Environment, Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Sarawak Regional Marine Department (Bintulu Division), Natural Resources and Environment Board, Department of Irrigation and Drainage, and the Sarawak Protocol, Ceremony and Event Management Unit (UPPAN).

Nine other awards were presented under the Diamond, Platinum and Titanium categories.

For the New Dimension Award, the recipients were Cahya Mata Phosphates Industries Sdn Bhd, GIGA Shipping Sdn Bhd and Sarawak Petchem Sdn Bhd.

The Supply Base Award went to Mubadala Energy Limited, PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd and PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited.

In the Container (Transhipment) category, awards were given to Evergreen Marine Corp (M) Sdn Bhd, Shin Yang Shipping Sdn Bhd and Harbour Agencies (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, while Container (Local) awards went to MTT Shipping Sdn Bhd, Harbour Agencies (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd and Shin Yang Shipping Sdn Bhd.

For Dry Bulk and Break Bulk categories, the winners included Cahya Mata Cement Sdn Bhd, OM Materials (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, Press Metal (Bintulu) Sdn Bhd, OCIKUMHO Sdn Bhd, and others.

In the Liquid Bulk (Palm Oil) category, Kirana Palm Oil Refinery Sdn Bhd, SOP Edible Oils Sdn Bhd (SEO) and Bintulu Edible Oil Sdn Bhd (BEO) took home the honours, while Liquid Bulk (Petroleum) awards went to Bintulu Adhesives Chemical Sdn Bhd, Shell MDS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd.

In his remarks, Ruslan stressed that each award symbolised not only operational excellence but also trust, collaboration and shared growth; values that have long defined BPHB’s relationships with its partners.

“To all our award recipients and honourees, congratulations! Your commitment and collaboration continue to inspire us all,” he said.
