KUCHING: A bus ticket attendant was arrested for making a false robbery report at noon on 16 May and is to be charged.
The suspect had said he was robbed by two men with a parang who took his company’s cash of RM16,500 at the traffic light at Jalan Semebah.
Police investigation showed that the victim has no injuries and had made a false report as he used the money to pay his gambling debts.
The money was given to him by his company to purchase tickets.
