MIRI: Police arrested a local man yesterday (Nov 24) for his alleged involvement in a theft case at a container storage here.
The arrest, which took place at 1.20 pm along Jalan Tudan, was made by a team from Miri central police station’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID), led by police station chief ASP Goldy Jangan.
Also seized from him was a motorcycle believed to have been used during the crime.
The 35-year-old suspect is currently being detained at Miri central police lockup to assist in investigations.
The case is being probed under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft in dwelling house.
Miri police advised the public to stay clear of criminal activities and encouraged them to provide information to help authorities to curb crime in the district.
