MIRI: A local man was killed in a workshop accident at a premises owned by a petrol company this morning (Jul 21).
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was pronounced dead after being pinned beneath a pickup truck.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received a distress call at 11.03 am and dispatched firefighters from Miri station to the scene.
Upon arrival, they confirmed the incident and used rescue tools to extricate the victim.
Once removed, the victim’s body was handed over to the police and paramedics for further action.
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause.
