KUCHING: A local man succumbed to his injuries after his motorcycle skidded and crashed along Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman Yaakub on Sunday night.
The accident happened at around 10:15 pm when the victim, in his 20s, was believed to have lost control of his machine before he was thrown to the roadside.
Kuching Police Chief, ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, said the victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Sarawak General Hospital’s Emergency Unit.
“However, at 11:11 pm, he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said.

Alexson also reminded motorists to remain vigilant and adhere to traffic rules for the safety of all road users.
