KUCHING: A security guard on duty got the shock of his life when he saw a lifeless body dangling from the staircase of a shopping mall in the city at about 1pm yesterday.
Robert Yong Ah Kit, aged 57, from Jalan Penrissen, was pronounced dead by medics who were called to the scene.
A CCTV recording showed that Yong drove his car to the shopping mall at about 10.30am before hanging himself at the second floor of the building.
The motive of the suicide remains unknown.
His next of kin were informed while his remains were brought to the Sarawak General Hospital morgue for a post mortem.
