LUBOK ANTU: A 26-year-old man was arrested at the Kuching Court Complex, Petra Jaya, for his alleged involvement in a reported cable theft case.
The arrest was made by the Task Force team from the Lubok Antu Police Headquarters (IPD) following investigations into the case.
Police said the suspect has 10 previous criminal records involving various offences, including drugs and theft.
He also tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine during a urine test.
The suspect is currently detained at the Lubok Antu Police Station lock-up, and a remand application will be made today (Nov 7) to facilitate further investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug use.
