KOTA SAMARAHAN: A 42-year-old man was lucky to escape with injuries after his car allegedly veered off Kuching Outering Road and ended up in a drain early today.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received a distress call on the accident occurred at around 3.05am.
Firefighters from Kota Samarahan station were promptly dispatched to the scene near Taman Berlian, about 10km away.
Upon arrival, they found the man lying inside the wrecked Proton Saga FLX.
He was safely removed using a stretcher and handed over to paramedics for further treatment.
The man’s current condition and the cause of the accident were not immediately known.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 3.52am.
