KUCHING: An elderly driver sustained injuries after his car veered off the road and crashed into a tree along Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce here, this morning.
Firefighters from Batu Lintang station were dispatched to the scene near the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) following an emergency call at 10.35 am.
Upon arrival, they found the 68-year-old trapped in his seat and extrication works were performed using rescue tools.
The victim was later handed over to paramedics to be transported to SGH for further treatment. The extent of his injuries was not known.
The rescue operation wrapped up at 11.05 am.
