KUCHING: A 28-year-old man was injured after the lorry he was driving skidded and slammed into a tree along Jalan Demak Laut early this morning.
The crash, which occurred at around 6.35 am, left the driver trapped in his seat.
Firefighters deployed from Tabuan Jaya station, about 11km from their base, had to use special rescue tools to free the victim from the wreckage.
He was then handed over to paramedics for initial treatment before being rushed to the hospital. The extent of his injuries is not known.
The team wrapped up the rescue operation at 7.21 am.
