KUCHING: A vehicle veered off the road early this morning at Jalan No. 16, Jalan Crookshank 2, Taman Sun Valley, here, leaving one person injured.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received an emergency call from the police at 12.47 am, which prompted a team from Bomba Batu Lintang to be dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firefighters reported that a dark grey Perodua Myvi had lost control and crashed into a bamboo pipe barrier.
The vehicle was found on the side of the road with an unconscious individual inside the vehicle.
The rescue team promptly extracted the victim and provided initial medical treatment.
The Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) then transported the victim to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further care.
The team also cleaned up an oil spill on the road to ensure safety.
