PADAWAN: A man sustained head injury while a woman escaped unscathed in an accident along Jalan Kuching-Serian today (Dec 30).
The accident happened at 12.10 pm when their Proton Saga, driven by the woman, skidded off the road and plunged into a roadside drain.
Firefighters from Siburan station were promptly deployed to the scene following an emergency call.
Upon arrival, the team assisted the injured passenger out of the vehicle and administered preliminary treatment at the scene.
The victim was later taken to Serian Hospital for further medical attention. The extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
