Man jumps off Petra Jaya bridge, feared drowned

KUCHING: A man is feared drowned after falling into the river at the Tun Salahuddin Bridge in Petra Jaya here today.

The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call on the incident at 9.29 am.

“Upon arrival at the scene, it was confirmed that the victim had jumped from the bridge. A Fire and Rescue control post has been activated to locate the victim,” Bomba said in a statement today.

As of now, the 34-year-old victim has yet to be found.
