BAU: Two men were arrested yesterday after accidentally shooting their own brother after going out hunting.
According to Bau police chief DSP Poge Nyaon, they received a call from Bau Hospital on Thursday (Feb 16) reporting that a man had died after being shot while hunting with his two brothers at a nearby jungle in Sungai Boyuh, Kampung Jugan in Bau.
“The brothers, believed to be aged 40 and 50, were arrested yesterday (Feb 17) at 5pm by the Criminal Investigation Department of IPD Bau.
“The police confiscated two custom-made guns and shotgun bullets,” he said.
According to him, the suspects have no past criminal records.
“Arrests have been made, and the remand application will be extended for further investigation,” he added.
