Man rescued from hilltop after suspected stroke attack

KUCHING: A 38-year-old man was rescued from a hilltop at a temple site at Tse Chen Samten Ling Retreat Centre, Jalan Matang FAC here.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said its personnel from the Petra Jaya station found the man in a semi-conscious state due to a stroke.

“The Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team stabilised the man before carrying him down to the main entrance of the temple grounds.

“He was later handed over to medical personnel for further treatment,” it said in a statement.

Earlier, Petra Jaya station received a distress call regarding the emergency at 4.28pm.
