LUNDU: The General Operations Force (GOF) arrested a local man for allegedly transporting 1,200 litres of diesel without valid permits last week.
Sarawak GOF Brigade Commander, SAC Lim Bak Phai, said the raid was carried out by GOF 11th Battalion under ‘Ops Taring Awas/Batas’ on September 11.
The team had intercepted a lorry driven by the 38-year-old man along Jalan Lundu-Sematan, and discovered six oil barrels containing diesel in the back of the vehicle.
“The diesel together with the barrels and lorry, were confiscated with the total value at RM128,180.
“During inspections, the suspect was found to be in possession of the fuel without valid documents or permit,” he said.

From January 1 to September 17 this year, the Sarawak GOF Brigade has recorded enforcement success amounting to RM354 million, involving 408 cases, 505 arrests, and the seizure of 262 vehicles.
