KUCHING: State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, received a courtesy visit from outgoing Sarawak Police Commissioner, Datuk Mancha Ata, at Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.
The official meeting was held in conjunction with Mancha’s retirement from public service, as he reaches mandatory retirement today.
Abu Bakar, on behalf of the Sarawak Government, expressed the highest appreciation to Mancha for his dedicated service and contributions particularly in safeguarding the security and wellbeing of Sarawak.
Serving since 1986, Mancha made history as the first Iban to hold the highest police position in Sarawak when he was promoted to Police Commissioner on 10 November 2023.
Also present was Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) Special Branch chief, SAC Mahbub Mustofa Norsalim.
