KUCHING: The Malaysia Auxiliary Police Association Sarawak (MAPA Sarawak) has partnered with NADI Wellbeing, an innovative health initiative managed by MRIC Healthcare Sdn Bhd, to offer comprehensive health screening for its members.

This took place at MAPA’s Meet and Greet session at Menara Sarawak Energy, attended by 70 members from various organisations on Friday (June 13).

Participants came from agencies including Sarawak Energy, the Office of the Premier of Sarawak, Ibraco, Sanjung Etika Sdn Bhd, PUSAKA, UNIMAS, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), LAKMNS, and Telekom Malaysia.

MAPA Sarawak Deputy President Shirin Jai Abdul Rashid said member well-being is crucial to maintaining safety and security.

“This collaboration with NADI Wellbeing is a timely reminder of the importance of good health in enabling our members to serve effectively,” she said.

The screening included blood pressure, blood glucose, BMI, and cholesterol checks, followed by personalised medical consultations, a proactive step to detect health risks early and promote healthier living at several local NADI centres, including NADI Tabuan Desa, NADI Padungan, NADI Pending, NADI Satok, and NADI Taman Sukma.

Ainul Ibrahim, Chief Operating Officer of MRIC Healthcare Sdn Bhd, commended the enthusiasm of MAPA members during the event.

“It was inspiring to see such strong participation.

At NADI Wellbeing, we believe in empowering communities to take charge of their health.

“Regular screening not only helps us monitor our well-being but also allows for early intervention through simple lifestyle changes,” she said.

In addition to the health screening, MAPA members were also registered as NADI members, granting them continued access to free basic health checks, as well as digital facilities such as internet access, computer use, and participation in entrepreneurship and digital skills training.

Sarawak currently has 156 NADI centres, which serve as hubs for connectivity, lifelong learning and community empowerment.
