Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s homegrown coffee brand, ZUS Coffee, and MAPIM (Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisation) served 10,000 Iftar meals for families in Gaza during the month of Ramadan, to break their fast with warmth, nourishment and dignity despite ongoing hardships in Gaza.
The ZUS Coffee community has raised RM266,000 through the ZUS CARES initiative, featured in the ZUS Coffee App.
This contribution was officially handed over to MAPIM to aid this programme, ensuring that families received support during the sacred month of Ramadan.

The ZUS CARES initiative has been ongoing, enabling customers to support causes that matter.
It is a built-in donation feature in the ZUS Coffee App that lets customers donate to verified causes at checkout.
While this donation handover took place during Ramadan, the spirit of giving among Malaysians has been evident long before, with continued support over time.
“Ramadan was a time of reflection, gratitude, and giving. We are incredibly thankful to our customers who have come together through the ZUS CARES platform to support families in Gaza.
“It was truly humbling to see the ongoing generosity of our community.
“These collective contributions show that even small acts of kindness, when multiplied, can create a profound and lasting impact,” said Venon Tian, Chief Operating Officer of ZUS Coffee.
For many in Gaza, this support is more than just a meal. It is a symbol of solidarity and a message of hope.
MAPIM expressed deep gratitude for this heartfelt contribution, emphasising that this generosity will help sustain crucial relief efforts, provide nourishment, and uplift those enduring hardship.
The donation also came at a time when humanitarian efforts in Gaza face immense challenges.
Just days after the handover, MAPIM mourned the loss of eight of its humanitarian personnel, who were tragically killed in an airstrike.
Their dedication and sacrifice serve as a powerful reminder of the risks faced by those working on the ground and the urgent need for continued support.
