SIBU: A fire broke out at a house at Lorong Timur 2 Desa Satria here yesterday.
According to the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre spokesperson, the department received an alert on the incident at 10.58am.
“The fire, however, did not affect the structure of the building.
“The fire only involved a mattress and was extinguished by members of the public upon the firefighters’ arrival,” said the Bomba spokesperson.
Firefighters then inspected the scene to ensure that the fire did not affect other places.
