KUCHING: Maxim E-hailing Malaysia has intensified its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Kota Kinabalu and Tawau, Sabah, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.
Director of Maxim E-hailing Malaysia, Mohd Hazwan Musley, expressed hope that these initiatives would bring genuine benefit and blessings to the entire community.
“Maxim looks forward to continuing such collaborations in the future, in line with our support for community well-being and strengthening relationships between all parties,” he said in a statement by Maxim E-hailing Malaysia issued today.
According to the statement, it said that the company supported local communities, madrasah institutions and orphanage homes through the distribution of iftar meals, essential supplies, and transportation assistance as part of its ongoing commitment to community well-being.
“On the second day of Ramadan, Maxim launched its charitable programmes in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Cawangan Sabah, starting at Masjid Al-A’laa Kampung Lokub in Kota Kinabalu.
“A convoy of Maxim representatives, drivers and UiTM student council members distributed iftar meals to the local community.
“UiTM Sabah Rector, Professor Madya Dr Rozita Mohamed, was present to support the efforts,” added the statement.
Following the initial programme in Kota Kinabalu, Maxim continued its CSR efforts within the city with a visit to Madrasah Darul Hadis DarSa Sabah, engaging over 85 members of the madrasah community.
In addition to distributing iftar meals, Maxim presented essential hampers and handed over a mock cheque of RM300 for travel assistance using Maxim services to support transportation needs for the students.
Meanwhile, in Tawau, Maxim E-hailing also carried out the same Ramadan initiative at Rumah Anak Yatim Ar-Raudhoh, delivering essential supplies to 34 orphans under the home’s care and extending the same transportation support to assist with the home’s operational needs.
The items included stationery, toiletries, food containers, water bottles, and other daily necessities.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the head of Rumah Anak Yatim Ar-Raudhoh, Ahmad Siong, along with the children residing there.
“We sincerely appreciate Maxim’s visit and generous contribution. Initiatives like these benefit both the children and the caregivers, and we hope such support will continue in the future,” he said.
Through sustained outreach programmes, the company aims to contribute positively to society beyond the Ramadan period, reaffirming its commitment to delivering meaningful support to communities beyond transportation services.
