MIRI: The Miri Badminton Association (MBA) will be sending a strong team of 20 junior players to compete in the Sarawak Badminton Association (SBA) Junior Badminton Tournament 2025 – Selection and Ranking.
A statement issued by MBA said that the tournament will be held from September 5 to 7, 2025, at the Sarawak Badminton Association Hall, Kuching.
This competition will serve as the selection platform for players to represent Sarawak in the prestigious 100Plus National U12 and U16 Team Championship, scheduled from October 29 to November 2, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur.
In a show of encouragement, MBA President, Datuk Ripin Lamat, personally attended the send-off gathering, offering both monetary and moral support, and presenting the players with their team jerseys.
“This is not just a competition, but also an opportunity to build resilience, experience and pride in representing Miri and Sarawak.
“We hope our young players will give their best and enjoy the journey,” said the MBA President.
Parents of the players also expressed their gratitude to MBA for its continuous encouragement and support, confident that the juniors will rise to the challenge and perform with determination.
