KUCHING: A mechanic was found dead at his flat unit in Taman Malihah here early yesterday.
The victim was identified as Temenggong anak Jelaing, aged 36.
It was understood that the victim went to bed around 9.00pm last Wednesday after watching television. He also told his wife to wake him up at 5.00am the next day as he needed to start his work early that day.
When the wife tried to wake him up around 5.00am she discovered that her husband had died and immediately alerted the police.
A police team rushed to the scene after receiving the woman’s distress call. The victim’s body was later sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post mortem.
Police have classified the case as sudden death pending the result of the post mortem.
