KUCHING: The Sarawak Information Department (JaPen) is encouraging media organisations to help spread the message of the Jalur Gemilang and promote the ‘Satu Rumah, Satu Jalur Gemilang’ initiative to the public through various platforms.

JaPen Sarawak director Sabri Said said this during a visit to the Suara Sarawak and Sarawak Tribune offices today.

During the visit, Jalur Gemilang kits were handed over to representatives from Sarawak Tribune, Suara Sarawak and Astro.

“We are continuing our engagement with media organisations across Sarawak as we approach the National Day celebrations,” he said.

Sabri said JaPen had scheduled visits to all media agencies across Sarawak as part of the initiative.

“We will visit all the media agencies here. There are 27 of them,” he said.

He said the department had visited TVS and Dayak Daily last week, with visits to other media organisations continuing today.

“Following the visit here, we are scheduled to proceed to Bernama,” he said.

The Jalur Gemilang kits were handed over to encourage media organisations to promote the national flag through their respective platforms.

The visits form part of JaPen’s efforts to strengthen engagement with media organisations and widen public exposure to the Jalur Gemilang ahead of National Day.
