KUCHING: The Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability (MEESty) will hold its first Public Industry Engagement Day together with the launch of the Sarawak Energy Transition Policy (SET P) on Aug 11 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here.
The event, scheduled from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm, aims to raise awareness and foster dialogue among industry players, community members and civil society on three key state policies relating to energy and sustainability, namely the Sarawak Sustainability Blueprint (SSB), the Sarawak Hydrogen Economy Roadmap (SHER) and SET P.
The ministry said the engagement sessions will allow stakeholders to gain insights into the policies and explore potential opportunities for business investment and collaboration.
A major highlight will be the launch of the SET P by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“The policy sets out the state government’s strategies for building a cleaner, more resilient and inclusive energy sector,” it said today (Aug 9).
Further updates and policy developments will be shared after the event to maintain public and industry alignment with Sarawak’s energy transition agenda.
