KUCHING: Two men involved in hurting soldier have been arrested.
Kuching OCPD ACP Awang Din Awang Gani confirmed that his men picked up the duo early yesterday.
The two suspects, aged 18 and 24, allegedly beat up the soldier due to a misunderstanding between the victim and a vendor at the Uptown Suarah business centre.
The victim, 29, was rushed to the Sarawak General Hospital and his condition is stable.
The suspects are being detained for further investigation under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which provides for a jail term of up to three years, fine and whipping or any two if convicted.
ACP Awang Din urged members of public who witnessed the incident or had any information to come forward to assist investigation.
