KUCHING: A Mercedes car was seized during ‘Ops Luxury’ after checks found its road tax had expired since 2024 and it was operating without valid insurance.
The Road Transport Department (RTD) said the enforcement action was carried out during patrols and monitoring around the city on Friday (Feb 6).
“Seizure action was taken in accordance with the provisions of the law in force,” the department said in a statement.
RTD said enforcement operations would continue regardless of vehicle type to ensure road safety.
