BINTANGOR: Work on upgrading five access roads is set to begin soon under the Mesra Rakyat Project.
The roads earmarked for improvement are Yin Ho Road, Sungai Pilit/Meradong, Ling Kuok Fung Road, Siew Bakong Road, Ming Kwong Road, Siew Bakong Road, Sungai Bakong, Chieng Ngouk Lee Road, Sing Hua Road, Sungai Bakong and Soong Lee Road, Soon Ming Road, Sungai Bakong.
Sarikei MP and Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, who secured funding for the project, hoped that contractors would adhere to the project timeline.
He also urged local residents to cooperate with the project team to ensure smooth execution.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held on Friday, with Gung Chiu Kion representing Huang.
Following the ceremony, Gung and the Service Centre team inspected the proposed project sites.
