Microsoft Q4 Revenue Rises 18 Pct

SAN FRANCISCO: Microsoft on Wednesday reported revenue of US$90 billion for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 ending June 30, up 18 per cent from the same period a year earlier, reported Xinhua.

The company posted quarterly net income of US$35.8 billion, an increase of 31 per cent year over year on a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) basis. Diluted earnings per share rose 32 per cent to US$4.81.

Microsoft’s operating income increased 18 per cent year over year to US$40.6 billion.

Excluding the impact of investments in OpenAI, quarterly net income was US$35.3 billion, up 22 per cent, while diluted earnings per share increased 23 per cent to US$4.74.

For the full fiscal year 2026, Microsoft reported revenue of US$331.8 billion, up 18 per cent from the previous fiscal year. Its GAAP operating income rose 21 per cent to US$155.2 billion, while GAAP net income increased 31 per cent to US$133.7 billion.

“We are advancing the frontier on the cost-to-outcome curve, ensuring every customer can turn tokens into business results,” said Satya Nadella, chairman and CEO of Microsoft.

“This year, Azure revenue surpassed US$100 billion for the first time, and Microsoft 365 Copilot reached over 30 million paid seats, reflecting the confidence customers are placing in us to power their AI transformation,” Nadella said.
